LARKANA (HRNW): In a significant tactical operation, the Larkana Police successfully apprehended a dangerous criminal following a fierce gun battle in the jurisdiction of Allahabad Police Station. According to the police spokesperson, a patrolling team intercepted a group of armed suspects in the Airways area who were positioned with the intent to commit a crime.
Upon spotting the police, the suspects opened fire, triggering a retaliatory response. During the exchange of gunfire, one dacoit, identified as Ali (alias Ali Haider, son of Gulzar Abro), was wounded and taken into custody, while his accomplices managed to escape under the cover of fire. Police recovered a .30 caliber pistol and ammunition from the arrested suspect.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the apprehended individual is a habitual offender with a significant criminal history. He is wanted in at least six major cases registered at various police stations, including PS Taluka, involving charges of armed robbery (Section 392 PPC), attempted murder (Section 324 PPC), and attacking law enforcement personnel (Section 353 PPC).
Two separate cases—one for the police encounter and another for the possession of illegal weapons—are being registered against the arrested suspect and his fleeing associates. Further verification of his criminal record is currently underway.
