Islamabad (HRNW) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for sending record remittances in December 2025 compared to the previous year.
The Prime Minister said that in December 2025, patriotic overseas Pakistanis sent remittances worth $3.6 billion. He added that the 16.5 percent increase compared to last year reflects the strong confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the government’s economic policies.
Shehbaz Sharif said that rejecting negative propaganda and continuing to send remittances for the development and progress of the country is a clear reflection of overseas Pakistanis’ love for their homeland.
He further stated that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable national asset, and the entire nation, including himself, takes pride in them. He assured that the welfare and facilitation of overseas Pakistanis remain among the government’s top priorities.
