Islamabad (HRNW)– Pakistan’s Parliament has approved the National Commission for Minority Rights Bill 2025, establishing a body to safeguard the rights of religious and other minorities. The commission has powers to summon witnesses, take testimony under oath, and seek judicial support for protecting citizens’ rights. Advocates say this legislative step could strengthen constitutional guarantees and enhance protections for vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
