Karachi (HRNW)– The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO) has announced that the last supermoon of the year 2025, also known as the ‘cold moon’ for December, will be clearly visible in many parts of the world, including Pakistan, on the intervening night of December 4 and 5.

According to SPARCO, this December cold moon is the third consecutive supermoon of the year, which will peak at 99.8 percent brightness at 4:15 am on December 5.
According to the department, the moon will rise in Pakistan at 99.2 percent brightness at 4:58 pm on December 4, while the distance between the moon and the Earth will be recorded as 357,218 kilometers on the night of December 4 and 5.
SPARCO says that during the supermoon, the moon appears about 7.9 percent larger and 15 percent brighter than its usual size, so citizens will be able to see it easily with the naked eye.
It should be noted that supermoons usually occur three to four times a year.
