Karachi (HRNW)— Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), acting on intelligence-based information, conducted a targeted operation in the Lucky Chadhai area near Jamia Farooqia on Hub River Road, Raees Goth, and arrested two suspects involved in the smuggling of non-custom-paid mobile phones.

The arrested individuals were identified as Zakir Khan son of Abdul Razzaq and Muhammad Saleem son of Jannas Khan. During the operation, Rangers recovered 750 smuggled smartphones of various brands and 61 Samsung tablets from their possession.
According to Rangers officials, the electronic items were concealed in specially constructed hidden compartments inside a Mazda truck and were being smuggled from Balochistan to Karachi. The seized goods are estimated to be worth millions of rupees.
Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) stated that operations against smuggling will continue until its complete elimination. The arrested suspects, along with the recovered items and the Mazda truck, have been handed over to Customs authorities for further legal proceedings.
Rangers also appealed to the public to report information related to crime and smuggling through nearby Rangers check posts, Rangers Helpline 1101, or Rangers Madadgar WhatsApp number 0347-9001111, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
