Over 1.4 Million Afghan Nationals Repatriated Interior Minister Pledges Continued Action

Islamabad, Pakistan (HRNW)- During a briefing to the Standing Committee on Interior, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry stated that over 1.4 million Afghan nationals have been repatriated from Pakistan so far. He emphasized that the repatriation process will continue until the last illegal Afghan national leaves the country, noting that despite multiple deadlines, a significant number of Afghan residents have not yet returned.

Minister Chaudhry also revealed that the National Counter-Crime and Immigration Authority (NCCIA) has seized 5,000 illegal international SIMs from foreign nationals in Pakistan. He warned that any foreign national found involved in illegal activities will face strict action without exception.

Regarding the Tirah Valley operation, Talal Chaudhry confirmed that the Ministry of Interior and all relevant stakeholders are fully on board under the National Action Plan, ensuring coordinated security and administrative measures.
