Moscow (HRNW)– No agreement could be reached in the talks between the Russian and American delegations, but both sides agreed to continue cooperation.

According to the World News Agency, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Wittkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russian government spokesman Yuri Ushakov told the media after the meeting that although the discussions were “useful and constructive,” they did not produce any final agreement.
He added that both countries have agreed to keep the dialogue open, and further rounds of talks will be held.
Ushakov noted that no breakthrough was achieved on the most sensitive matter—Ukraine’s land borders.
Following the meeting, Ukraine and several European countries also rejected Trump’s proposed peace points, prompting revisions.

The US and Russian delegations have visited each other’s countries during the negotiation process, and President Putin has shown a positive attitude toward some suggestions.
The Ukrainian President also called a consultative session and hinted at a possible one-on-one meeting with President Trump.
President Trump described the war as a “serious and difficult matter,” saying it is taking “tens of thousands of lives every month.”
Although Trump’s full peace proposal remains classified, some leaked points indicate that Russia seeks:
- limits on Ukraine’s military strength,
- full control of the Donbass region,
- and formal recognition of Russian presence in Zaporizhia and Kherson.
Ukraine has rejected these proposals, calling them equivalent to surrender.
