India (HRNW) — In a tragic incident, a newly married couple from Bengaluru, Karnataka, ended their lives following a domestic dispute soon after returning from their honeymoon.
According to reports, 36-year-old Suraj Shivanna was found dead on Saturday after he hanged himself from a ceiling fan in a hotel room on Wardha Road, Nagpur. The incident occurred just two days after his 26-year-old wife, Ganavi, had also taken her own life.
Sources said the couple had gotten married on October 29 in Bengaluru and traveled to Sri Lanka for their honeymoon. However, due to alleged marital issues, they cut their trip short and returned home — after which the unfortunate sequence of events took place.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact reasons behind the suicides and to explore any other contributing factors.
