Peshawar (HRNW)- In a major crackdown, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested the CEO and Regional Director of Starland Marketing in connection with a financial scam worth Rs 3.73 billion. According to a NAB spokesperson, the accused defrauded billions of rupees from innocent citizens under the pretext of public investment, and another individual involved in the scam has also been taken into custody.
The accused allegedly collected money by promising fake and so-called “halal” profits through real estate investments, but instead of funding the advertised housing projects, the funds were misappropriated. The scam has so far revealed a total loss of approximately Rs 3.73 billion.
NAB is conducting a thorough and transparent investigation to recover the looted public money and hold all responsible parties accountable. Victims have been directed to submit their claims and relevant documents to the NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office as soon as possible.
