MAPUTO (HRNW)— Heavy flooding in Mozambique has reached a critical stage, with the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD) reporting that nearly 600,000 people have been affected across nine provinces. With 90% of the local population living in vulnerable adobe structures, the collapse of homes has displaced nearly 400,000 people. Humanitarian access is severely limited as 5,000 kilometers of roads remain underwater, cutting off vital food and medical supplies to the worst-hit regions like Gaza Province.
