Islamabad (HRNW)- In Pakistan, an important institution like the Military Foundation, based on a self-sustaining welfare model, has become a symbol of service, sacrifice, and national dignity.
For the past 70 years, the Military Foundation has demonstrated that the welfare of retired soldiers, martyrs, and widows is not a burden on the state. Currently, the foundation is supporting nearly 5 percent of the country’s population, benefiting around one crore deserving people.
According to available data, the Military Foundation spends more than 70 percent of its annual income, approximately Rs 12 to 14 billion, on welfare activities. It operates 74 medical centers, including 11 hospitals and 63 clinics.
More than 5 million patients receive treatment every year at Medical Foundation healthcare facilities, which collectively provide over 1,940 beds.
In the education sector, the Military Foundation is running 131 educational institutions, where over 75,000 students are enrolled. During the 2024–25 academic year, the foundation distributed Rs 383.41 million in educational assistance under 15,000 scholarships.
