Karachi (HRNW)- Former Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has severely criticized the 18-year-old PPP government in Sindh, saying that in such a long period of time, this government could neither control accidents like fire nor provide basic facilities to the citizens.
Talking to the media during a visit to Gul Plaza, Miftah Ismail said that the situation in different areas of Karachi is very worrying. He said that there is no water in places around University Road and Nazimabad, roads are dilapidated in some places, there is a problem with electricity in some places and all three facilities are not available in some places.
The former Finance Minister raised the question that if these works are done in time in other provinces of the country, then why are they not done in Sindh. He said that there is probably some calamity or evil on the Sindh government due to which accidents are happening here again and again and precious human lives are being lost.
Miftah Ismail said that this is not the first incident, a few days ago a fire had also broken down in the Electronic Regal Market. He said that sometimes fires break out in the city, sometimes buildings collapse, and the rulers do not care about it. According to him, all these incidents are the result of the rulers’ negligence, incompetence and corruption.
