Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) — In a landmark step toward digital governance, Mayor Karachi has officially inaugurated the SAP (Systems, Applications & Products) system at the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), marking the beginning of comprehensive digital reforms within the organization.
According to the spokesperson, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Engineer Asadullah Khan, and Ammar Ali Khan as special guests, while Sikandar Ali, Saadat Anwar, Ghani Sheikh, Ameen Tughlaq, and Ghazanfar Ali were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Karachi stated that the implementation of the SAP system will bring transparency and efficiency to all administrative and financial operations of the Water Corporation. The modern system will significantly accelerate the digitization of institutional records, improve performance monitoring, and enhance accountability.
He added that through SAP, the corporation will now be able to effectively monitor billing, recovery, and expenditures, ensuring more efficient management of resources and services. The Mayor emphasized that digital reforms are essential for improving civic institutions, noting that technology-driven governance is key to providing better facilities to the people of Karachi.
