Major Shake-up in Karachi Police: Six SHOs Suspended for Performance Negligence

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) — In a significant administrative crackdown aimed at improving the city’s law and order situation, the Karachi Police leadership has suspended six Station House Officers (SHOs). An official notification has been issued to formalize the disciplinary action.

According to the notification, the suspended officers include:

  • Inspector Anees Ahmed Sheikh (SHO Pirabad)

  • Inspector Waqar Qaiser (SHO Azizabad)

  • Inspector Hidayat Hussain Khan

  • Inspector Waqar Azeem

  • Inspector Syed Imtiaz Hussain Zaidi

  • Inspector Muhammad Riaz

The authorities have directed all suspended officers to immediately report to the CPO (Central Police Office) Admin Branch.

Police high-ups stated that these “tough decisions” are being made to restore public confidence and curb the rising crime rate. The leadership emphasized a zero-tolerance policy, asserting that no leniency will be shown to officers found guilty of negligence, professional misconduct, or failing to maintain peace within their respective jurisdictions.
