Karachi (HRNW): Keamari Shershah Police carried out a successful operation based on a tip-off, seizing approximately 96 kilograms of cannabis worth around PKR 14.4 million.
According to SSP Keamari, Amjad Sheikh, the large consignment of drugs was recovered from inside a Toyota Hilux, and two suspects, Amjad and Naseer, were arrested near the Lyari Expressway turn.
During preliminary investigations, the suspects revealed that they procured drugs from various areas in Balochistan and supplied them to Karachi and other parts of interior Sindh.
Cases have been registered against the suspects at Shershah Police Station, and authorities are reviewing their criminal records. Further investigations are underway to gather additional information.
SSP Amjad Sheikh said the operation was a major success in preventing drug distribution in the city, and more significant disclosures are expected from the arrested individuals.
