Major Breakthrough in Lioness Attack Case: Wild Animal Recovered, Owners Arrested

LAHORE (HRNW): In a major development following the horrific incident of a lioness attacking a young girl in Lahore, the police have successfully recovered the animal and arrested its owners within three hours.

According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the action was carried out under the supervision of SP Iqbal Town, Dr. Umar. The suspects had initially fled the scene in the Bhikiwal area along with the lioness immediately after the animal wounded the child. However, following the directives of the DIG Operations, the police launched a swift crackdown and apprehended the suspects in the Nawankot area.

Investigations have revealed that the owners did not possess a valid license to keep a lioness. The police have initiated formal legal proceedings against the arrested individuals for illegal possession of a wild animal and endangering public safety. Authorities emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated regarding the presence of dangerous animals in residential neighborhoods.
