Islamabad (HRNW)- Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai has written a formal letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, raising serious concerns over the health of the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan.
In the letter, Mahmood Khan Achakzai demanded a complete medical examination of Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail, by his personal doctors. He also expressed deep concern over the absence of Imran Khan’s family members and personal medical team during previous medical check-ups.
The Opposition Leader called for immediate personal intervention by the Prime Minister, stating that Imran Khan’s health is a fundamental human rights issue. He emphasized that Imran Khan should be examined by qualified doctors from Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Shifa International Hospital to ensure transparency and proper medical care.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai further proposed the names of Imran Khan’s personal doctors in the letter, including Dr. Muhammad Asim Yousaf, Dr. Professor Mazhar Ishaq, and Dr. Professor Aamir Awan, and urged authorities to facilitate their access without delay.
