Karachi (HRNW)– Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Karachi President Allama Sadiq Jafri has expressed deep grief and anger over the tragic incident of an innocent child dying due to the lack of cover of open drains at Nipa Chowrangi and said that a murder case should be initiated against the fake mayor Murtaza Wahab, who is responsible for the accident with the three-year-old child.
The worst state of infrastructure in the city, broken roads and open manholes are causing heartbreaking accidents. The tragic incident of an innocent child dying due to the lack of cover of open drains is raising serious questions on the performance of the urban administration.
The Mayor of Karachi and the concerned departments have failed miserably in fulfilling the basic safety needs of the citizens. He said that despite repeated complaints from the citizens, the failure to install drain covers is a clear proof of serious negligence and administrative apathy. It is the duty of public representatives to give top priority to the protection of the lives and property of citizens, but recent incidents have proven that the city government is failing to fulfill its basic responsibilities.
The incompetent, fake mayor is turning the city into an archeological site, not a modern city. He demanded that open manholes be closed on an emergency basis across the city and strict action be taken against those responsible. The incompetent fake mayor should be dismissed immediately.
The Sindh government should take immediate notice and take effective steps to prevent such heartbreaking incidents in the future. Meanwhile, the tragedy of the innocent child. Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki and other leaders of the Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Sindh, strongly criticized the government’s incompetence and expressed condolences to the family of young Ibrahim who died in the incident.
