Karachi (HRNW)– Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Karachi President Allama Sadiq Jafri has expressed deep grief and anger over the tragic incident of an innocent child dying due to the lack of cover of open drains at Nipa Chowrangi and said that a murder case should be initiated against the fake mayor Murtaza Wahab, who is responsible for the accident with the three-year-old child.
The worst state of infrastructure in the city, broken roads and open manholes are causing heartbreaking accidents. The tragic incident of an innocent child dying due to the lack of cover of open drains is raising serious questions on the performance of the urban administration.
The Mayor of Karachi and the concerned departments have failed miserably in fulfilling the basic safety needs of the citizens. It is the duty of public representatives to give top priority to the protection of the lives and property of citizens, but recent incidents have proven that the city government is failing to fulfill its basic responsibilities.
