Kot Addu, Pakistan (HRNW) — In a remarkable display of dedication and efficiency, Sub-Inspector Saima Batool, In-Charge of the Gender Crime Unit, Kot Addu, has successfully recovered four kidnapped women within just ten days of assuming charge.
According to police reports, upon her posting, Sub-Inspector Batool immediately prioritized cases related to abduction, rape, and sexual assault, resolving four pending investigations in a short span of time. The recovered women — Asma Batool (Case No. 1319/25), Tooba Bibi (32/26), Javeria Abbas (1854/25), and Anum Bibi (1725/25) — were safely produced before the court.
Among the recovered victims was Anum Bashir, whose disappearance had long been a challenge for the police. She was successfully located and handed over to her family.
Sub-Inspector Saima Batool emphasized the importance of awareness and counseling for young girls to prevent such incidents, urging parents and teachers to create safe, friendly environments alongside providing education. “Society must act collectively to protect vulnerable girls from abduction and exploitation,” she said.
Her efforts have drawn praise from local residents and police leadership for setting a strong example of professionalism, empathy, and effective policing in gender-based crime cases.
