Karachi (HRNW)- In Korangi district, a crucial meeting will be held on January 5 to address the illegal occupation of the Khokhar Apartment / Dak Khana Bus Depot by land mafia involved in launching Maryam Residency and Star Mobile Mall & Heights.
All relevant stakeholders have been summoned in writing. Two days prior to the meeting, all concerned government officials have been instructed to submit their reports.
It is reported that the land mafia seized the bus depot/terminal at Khokhar Apartment and illegally launched Maryam Residency and Star Mobile Mall & Heights on the site. Following media reports about the occupation, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon took notice of the matter.
Model Colony Town Chairman Zafar Khan also wrote to the Commissioner Karachi, Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary Transport, DG Rangers, and the Chief Minister of Sindh expressing his concern over the illegal occupation of the bus depot.
Additionally, Member of Provincial Assembly Sharq Jamal raised the matter in the Standing Committee on Home Affairs regarding the seizure of the Khokhar Apartment Bus Depot.
Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had earlier stated in a live media talk that government land is not free-for-all and that illegal occupation of the bus depot will not be tolerated, vowing strict action against the land mafia.
