Sindh Rangers Arrest Suspect Involved in Illegal Arms Trade and Major Robberies

Karachi (HRNW) Sindh Rangers (Sindh), acting on credible intelligence, conducted an operation in Karachi’s Pehlwan Goth and arrested a suspect, Abdul Samad son of Juman Shah, allegedly involved in illegal arms trafficking, robberies, and several other criminal activities.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, a 30-bore pistol with ammunition (without licence), a stolen motorcycle, and a mobile phone were recovered from the suspect’s possession.

During initial interrogation, the suspect revealed that in 2021 he, along with his younger brother Hanifullah alias Siraj Khan and other accomplices, was involved in the robbery of a private company’s cash van on I.I. Chundrigar Road, in which approximately Rs. 205 million was looted.

The arrested suspect also confessed that he maintained links with various robbers, drug peddlers, and car-lifting gangs, supplying them with illegal weapons for criminal activities. Rangers officials said raids are ongoing to arrest his remaining accomplices.

The apprehended suspect, along with the recovered weapon, ammunition, and stolen items, has been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
