Karachi Gul Plaza Fire Claims 14 Lives as Cooling Operation Continues, Rescue Work Ongoing

Karachi (HRNW)- According to DIG South Asad Raza, the fire in Karachi’s Gul Plaza has been completely extinguished, but the death toll in the tragic incident has now reached 14. Rescue officials have confirmed that the bodies of three people, including a child, were found during the search operation, while five bodies were burnt to the extent that they were not identifiable. The Chief Fire Officer said that the cooling process is underway in the building and a path is being made by cutting walls and windows, but due to the extremely deteriorated condition of the building, it is dangerous for the rescue workers to stay inside for a long time. At present, rescue teams are working only in safe places and exiting immediately to avoid any further accidents.
