Karachi and Lahore Airspace Temporarily Closed for Operational Reasons

KARACHI/LAHORE (HRNW)-The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has announced the temporary closure of specific flight routes between Karachi and Lahore airspace.

According to a NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) issued by the authority, certain air corridors between the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions (FIR) will be restricted on January 14 and 15, 2026.

Key Details of the Closure:

  • Dates: January 14 and January 15.

  • Timing: From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (PST) on both days.

  • Reason: The PCAA cited “operational reasons” for this temporary measure.

Passengers are strongly advised to contact their respective airlines to confirm their flight schedules and check for any potential delays or rerouting during this three-hour window.
