Karachi (HRNW) – At least 22 people were injured in indiscriminate aerial firing in different areas of Karachi on the eve of the New Year. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Dow Hospital and other private hospitals with the help of the Chhipa Ambulance Service. According to Chhipa sources, the injured included women, girls and young men.
According to Chhipa, those injured include Mukhtiar (36) from Chanisar Goth, Nabil (33) from Golimar, Nik Muhammad (40) from New Sabzi Mandi, Ahmed (20) from Korangi No. 5, Muhammad Aslam (30) from Bada Board, Ma Jabeen (11) from Korangi K Area, Khaliq (35) from Azam Basti, Fariha (8) from Safoora, Sham Kumar (16) from North Nazimabad, Haji Zaheer (65) from Johar Mor, Faizan (18) from Liaquatabad, Jan Bahadur (45) from Lea Market, Safdar Shah (35) from Kala Pul, Alina (40) from Qayyumabad, Azmat Ali (25) from Gulberg, Wajiha (18) from Mahmoodabad, Shamim (45) from Gulzar Hijri, Moman (26) from Lyari, Miraj Bano (53) from Lines Area, Hassan (18) from Korangi, Hashim (40) from Maripur and Ajwa (24) from Azam Basti.
According to hospital transfer details, three injured were taken to Civil Hospital, ten to Jinnah Hospital, seven to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, one to Darul Sehat and one to Dow Hospital. Out of the total injured, 14 are men, six women and two girls. According to confidential sources, no deaths have been reported so far.
