Islamabad Seminar: Mushahid Hussain Says Trump’s Peace Board Gives Pakistan Global Platform Beyond Gaza

Islamabad (HRNW)- Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that former US President Donald Trump has provided Pakistan with an important international platform, adding that the Board of Peace is not limited to Gaza alone.

Addressing a seminar titled “Black Day” at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services on India’s Republic Day, Mushahid Hussain stated that there is widespread anxiety in India over Pakistan’s participation in the Board of Peace. He emphasized that Kashmir and Palestine remain central to Pakistan’s foreign policy and noted that Pakistan’s upcoming membership of the United Nations Security Council in 2026 will further strengthen the Kashmir cause at the global level.

He also criticized India’s ideological direction, stating that the RSS represents a fascist mindset and that modern India is increasingly shaped by the ideology of Hindutva.

Hurriyat leader Altaf Ahmed Wani, while addressing the seminar, said that Pakistan has emerged as a global peacemaker for the first time. He added that the government’s decision was made after consultation with political, military and bureaucratic stakeholders and urged the public and intellectual community to support the move in the national interest.

Altaf Ahmed Wani stressed that the Kashmir issue remains the most critical dispute in the region and is once again gaining international attention, which is causing concern in India.

The seminar was also attended by Chairman Kashmir Committee Rana Qasim Noon, former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Atiq, and other prominent leaders.
