Islamabad (HRNW)- President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, has written a formal letter to the Prime Minister, demanding immediate economic reforms to stabilize the country’s business environment.
According to details, the letter highlights that high taxes and elevated interest rates are severely paralyzing business activities, while expensive energy costs have emerged as a serious threat to all major sectors of the economy.
The chamber president has demanded that the real estate sector be granted the status of an industry, emphasizing that restoring investor confidence and addressing the concerns of overseas Pakistanis is the need of the hour.
The letter also stressed the urgent requirement for declaring a National Export Emergency to significantly boost exports, warning that capital is rapidly flowing out of the country due to policy uncertainty.
Sardar Tahir Mahmood further stated that timely intervention by the Prime Minister could help steer the economy towards recovery and stability.
