Iran Says Missile Program Is Defensive and Not Open to Negotiations

Tehran (HRNW)– Iran’s Foreign Ministry has clarified that the country’s missile program is developed only for defensive purposes and is not a matter for any negotiations.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said at a press conference that Iran’s defense capabilities are to deter the enemy from thinking of an attack, and this is not a matter that can be negotiated.

Baghai added that on the one hand, Israel is being supplied with weapons without hindrance, while Iran’s missile program is being considered a threat.

According to reports, Israel is concerned about the increase in Iran’s production of ballistic missiles and is considering possible attack options. Israel is also focusing on restoring Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities, which were the target of previous US attacks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said during a visit to Moscow that Tehran is fully prepared for any possible attack and the best way to prevent war is to be prepared, although Iran does not welcome war.
