Iran Publishes Names of 2,985 Protest Victims Amid Ongoing Human Rights Concerns

Tehran (HRNW)- The office of Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga has released the names and identities of 2,985 people killed during last month’s protests.

The presidential palace stated that the names of those killed were published in various national newspapers across the country. Officials reported that a total of 3,117 people had died in the recent unrest, but 131 bodies have not yet been identified, so their names were excluded from the list.

According to BBC Persian, human rights activists claim that many names are still missing, raising ongoing concerns about accountability and transparency.
