Sydney (HRNW)– Four members of a network of Satanic priests involved in the sexual exploitation of children have been arrested in Sydney and formally charged.
According to a global news agency, Sydney police have described this network as an internationally operating Satanic group.
During multiple raids, police recovered thousands of videos showing brutal treatment of children aged 12 and under, including infants. Authorities said the group circulated these videos online, linking them with satanic rituals and secret practices, through a website operating worldwide.
Police stated that a 26-year-old man is believed to be the central figure of the group. Bail for all four arrested individuals has been denied.
Investigators told the court they still do not know where the videos were produced or the identities of the children shown in them. The group reportedly shared videos displaying symbols associated with child abuse, torture, and satanic rituals.
The investigation team confirmed that there is no evidence yet that the suspects themselves created the material. Authorities are now collaborating with international agencies to identify the victims.
The next court appearance for the suspects is scheduled for late January, where sentencing is also expected.
