Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Orders Comprehensive Plan to Transform Islamabad Safe City into Smart City

Islamabad (HRNW) — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for a comprehensive plan to upgrade Islamabad Safe City into a Capital Smart City. He has also decided that from January 1, vehicles without M-Tag will be barred from entering Islamabad.

Minister Naqvi, along with Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, visited the Safe City Headquarters, where he reviewed the city’s monitoring system on the digital wall and observed public safety measures using modern technology. They also inspected security surveillance at the Special Chinese Desk in the control room.

A key meeting chaired by the Interior Minister was held at the Safe City Headquarters to review measures for the protection of citizens’ life and property. Minister Naqvi instructed that work on the Capital Smart City project should be accelerated and emphasized the integration of citizen services, including Rescue 1122, traffic management, security, and CDMA systems, into the central system.
