Inter-District Bus Fares Reduced After Cut in Petrol and Diesel Prices

Lahore (HRNW)- After the reduction in petrol and diesel prices, public transport fares have also been reduced significantly. On the instructions of the Punjab Transport Department, the fares of inter-district buses have been reduced.

According to sources, the fares have been reduced from Rs 60 to Rs 200. Fares from Lahore to various cities have been reduced as follows:

  • Lahore to Islamabad: Rs 1,910 reduced to Rs 1,850

  • Lahore to Murree: Rs 2,370 reduced to Rs 2,290

  • Lahore to Peshawar: Rs 2,610 reduced to Rs 2,530

  • Lahore to Mansehra: Rs 2,500 reduced to Rs 2,420

  • Lahore to Abbottabad: Rs 2,310 reduced to Rs 2,240

  • Lahore to Faisalabad: Rs 1,010 reduced to Rs 980

  • Lahore to Sadiqabad: Rs 2,510 reduced to Rs 2,430

  • Lahore to Karachi: Rs 5,800 reduced to Rs 5,620

Transport Department officials said that this reduction has been made for the convenience of the public and to reduce the cost of daily travel, and citizens will now be able to travel at a lower fare.
