Islamabad (HRNW)– India has emerged as an obstacle to Pakistan’s humanitarian aid mission to Sri Lanka.
According to the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, India has been continuously obstructing the aid being sent by Pakistan. A special Pakistani relief aircraft has remained delayed for 60 hours because India has not allowed it to use its airspace.

The spokesperson added that although India granted partial clearance after 48 hours, the permission was practically unusable. The clearance window was extremely limited, and no approval was given for the return route, making it impossible for the relief mission to proceed effectively.
He further stated that Pakistan remains fully committed to assisting Sri Lanka in the spirit of brotherhood, but India’s inflexible stance has hindered this crucial humanitarian effort.
