Speaking to the media on Air Force One, the US President warned Iran that it should make a deal in ten or fifteen days. If Iran does not make a deal, it will have to face serious consequences.<\/p>\n
He warned that Iran could never have nuclear weapons, and if diplomatic efforts fail, \u201cthe deal will be reached somehow,\u201d and hinted at possible military action.<\/p>\n
Earlier, President Trump, during his address to the first meeting of the Peace Board, asked Iran to make an \u201ceffective and meaningful\u201d deal with the United States. \u201cYears of experience have shown that making a meaningful deal with Iran is not easy, and if it doesn\u2019t happen, there will be bad consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tehran, on the other hand, warned that it would take \u201cdecisive\u201d action in response to any military aggression.<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s permanent mission to the UN said in a letter to the UN Secretary-General that it would consider all bases, facilities and assets of \u201chostile forces\u201d in the region as legitimate targets, but Iran said it did not want tension and would not start a war.<\/p>\n
Washington and Tehran have long been trying to resolve the dispute over Iran\u2019s nuclear program, but recent talks in Geneva ended without any progress.<\/p>\n
Tensions between the two sides have escalated in recent weeks, with Iran\u2019s supreme leader threatening to damage US warships.<\/p>\n
