Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 During a judicial commission hearing on the Gul Plaza tragedy<\/strong>, Justice Agha Faisal<\/strong> expressed strong displeasure with the Sindh Building Control Authority<\/strong>, raising serious questions about responsibility and oversight.<\/p>\n

Justice Agha Faisal remarked that the SBCA\u2019s claim that action cannot be taken without a complaint is \u201cunacceptable.\u201d He highlighted that 15 people lost their lives in the tragic incident and questioned how a high-rise building could be allowed on a plot of just 40 to 50 yards, suggesting that perhaps no formal complaints had been filed regarding the structure.<\/p>\n

The judge also inquired about the factors contributing to the fire\u2019s spread and the command of the emergency operations, to which the response was reportedly, \u201cNo one!\u201d<\/p>\n

DC South Javed Nabi Khokhro<\/strong> informed the court that he was near the scene, arrived immediately, contacted emergency services, and that the SSP City<\/strong> also reached the site. Justice Agha Faisal commented: \u201cNow we share the same view\u2014negligence cannot be concealed.\u201d<\/p>\n
