Even after repairs to a burst <strong>84-inch main water pipeline<\/strong> near <strong>Port Qasim<\/strong>, water supply remains disrupted across multiple areas of the city, leaving residents in severe distress.<\/p>\n<p>According to water authorities, a leak in the 84-inch line near <strong>Shanti Nagar<\/strong>, close to <strong>Dhabiji and Gulshan-e-Iqbal<\/strong>, managed by the <strong>Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation<\/strong>, halted supply to a significant portion of the city. Although repairs were completed within 24 hours, water supply has still not been fully restored.<\/p>\n<p>The situation deteriorated further when a subsequent breakdown occurred at the <strong>Dhabiji Pumping Station<\/strong> due to power issues with <strong>K-Electric<\/strong>, preventing the delivery of 103.1 million gallons of water to the city.<\/p>\n<p>Residents in areas including <strong>Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Shah Faisal, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sultanabad (Kemari Town), and Saddar Town<\/strong> have been struggling for even a single drop of water, making it difficult to meet household needs, especially on the first day of fasting.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens expressed that the lack of water during the sacred month of Ramadan has added tremendous hardship.
