Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 The main runway at Jinnah International Airport<\/strong> is now fully equipped to accommodate the world\u2019s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380<\/strong>. Following the completion of its upgradation, Runway R25<\/strong> is set to host the first landing by a private airline flight.<\/p>\n

The upgradation project was completed within the scheduled 18 months, and the runway\u2019s classification has now been upgraded to Code 4F<\/strong>, enabling it to handle large and heavy aircraft operations.<\/p>\n

With this enhancement, the runway is also fully prepared to facilitate large cargo aircraft movements.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA)<\/strong> successfully conducted the first test landing on January 3, 2026. Following the trial, the first official flight to land on the upgraded runway was greeted with a ceremonial water salute.<\/p>\n
