Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)<\/strong> The District & Sessions Court South on February 16, 2026 approved the bail applications of social activist Abdul Qadir Memon in two cases registered at Garden Police Station. Surety bonds have been submitted before the court, release orders have been issued, and his release is expected today. Advocate Salman Mujahid Baloch represented him in the proceedings.<\/p>\n

On February 9, 2026, FIR No. 39\/2026 was registered at Garden Police Station on the complaint of a Sub-Inspector against Abdul Qadir Memon and his two associates, No Viyan and Kawish, alleging interference in official affairs. According to defense counsel Salman Mujahid Baloch, the case is baseless.<\/p>\n

In addition, another case was registered against Abdul Qadir Memon on charges of illegal possession of weapons. However, the defense stated that the pistol cited in the FIR is legally licensed in Memon\u2019s name and that the license had been presented to the SHO of Garden Police Station, yet a case was still lodged.<\/p>\n

On February 10, Abdul Qadir Memon and his two associates were produced before a Magistrate and subsequently sent to jail custody. On February 11, bail applications were filed before the Sessions Court South and later transferred to the court of the Additional Sessions Judge No. 10.<\/p>\n

The bail petitions were heard on February 13, where Advocate Salman Mujahid Baloch presented detailed arguments, contending that both cases were fabricated and politically motivated, allegedly filed in retaliation for raising his voice in support of the oppressed residents of Garden.<\/p>\n

On February 14, 2026, the Additional Sessions Judge No. 10 South announced the decision at 1:00 PM, granting bail to all three accused. On February 16, after submission of surety bonds, the court issued release orders, which are to be forwarded to Central Jail authorities.<\/p>\n

It is also noteworthy that Abdul Qadir Memon had previously filed a case against an alleged dumper mafia figure, which Advocate Salman Mujahid Baloch successfully transferred from the Sessions Court to the Anti-Terrorism Court.<\/p>\n
