Lahore (HRNW):<\/strong> Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/strong> has announced the launch of a new initiative titled \u201cApna Khet, Apna Rozgar\u201d<\/strong>, aimed at providing free land to poor and unemployed citizens<\/strong> across the province.<\/p>\n

While addressing the inauguration ceremony of an electric bus service in Rajanpur<\/strong>, the Chief Minister said that under the scheme, 250,000 acres of land<\/strong> will be distributed free of cost among deserving individuals. She stated that 3 to 5 acres of land<\/strong> would be allotted to unemployed and underprivileged people to help them earn a sustainable livelihood.<\/p>\n

Maryam Nawaz further announced that beneficiaries under the scheme would also receive a Kissan Card<\/strong>, enabling farmers to purchase fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds<\/strong> to cultivate their land and improve agricultural productivity.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a Center of Excellence in every tehsil<\/strong> and directed authorities to take steps to introduce green bus services in all tehsils within one year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During her speech, Maryam Nawaz conveyed that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif<\/strong> had sent a special message of affection to the people of Rajanpur, stating that they hold a close place in his heart.<\/p>\n

Rejecting the notion that Rajanpur is Punjab\u2019s last district, the Chief Minister said, \u201cPunjab begins from Rajanpur.\u201d<\/em> She paid tribute to Baloch culture<\/strong>, including the Baloch turban, shawl, and cap, and highlighted that Rajanpur is now witnessing state-of-the-art electric bus services<\/strong>, similar to Lahore, along with the construction of 72 roads at a cost of Rs 12 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
