Southern Lebanon (HRNW)- Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon killed one person and wounded eight others on Monday. According to news agencies, the Israeli army carried out operations in various areas of southern Lebanon, targeting residential neighborhoods in two villages.<\/p>\n
According to the Lebanese state news agency, the attacks were carried out in the southern towns of Kafr Tibnit and Ain Qana, where several buildings were hit. Thick smoke was also seen rising after the attack in Ain Qana. The Israeli army had earlier issued evacuation warnings for both towns. While Israeli authorities claimed the strikes targeted weapons storage facilities, Lebanese officials said the bombings hit residential areas.<\/p>\n
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that one person was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli strike in the southern area of Ansaria, while another attack wounded four more people in Qalila. Lebanese media also reported that several vehicles were targeted during the air raids and that some operations were carried out without prior warning.<\/p>\n
Despite the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, Israeli strikes have continued across Lebanon. More than 360 people have reportedly been killed in Israeli operations since the ceasefire. Lebanon has repeatedly lodged protests, calling these attacks a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.<\/p>\n
