A <strong>fine of Rs 2.5 million<\/strong> was also imposed. According to the Ombudsperson, the complainant\u2019s allegations were found to be proven, and the decision was issued under the law for the protection of women against harassment at the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>However, Monis Alvi challenged the decision in the <strong>Sindh High Court<\/strong>, maintaining that the allegations against him were baseless and that he was not given a full and fair opportunity to defend himself in accordance with legal requirements. After an initial hearing, the High Court <strong>issued a stay order on the Ombudsperson\u2019s decision<\/strong>, temporarily suspending the removal order.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the matter reached the <strong>Governor of Sindh<\/strong> in the form of an appeal, where all records, evidence, and the positions of both parties were reviewed.
