Lahore (HRNW)- The body of a woman who fell into a sewer line near Bhati Gate was recovered from the outfall road about three kilometers away, while a rescue operation is still underway to search for the 9-month-old girl.<\/p>\n
According to details, the affected family had come to Lahore for sightseeing. The family first reached Minar-e-Pakistan and later Data Darbar, where the woman was sitting on the mandir of the sewer line with her daughter when both of them fell down.<\/p>\n
Taking notice of the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formed an investigation committee headed by the Additional Chief Secretary, which will submit its report within 24 hours. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, action was taken against the officers guilty of negligence and negligence, and Director TEPA Shabbir Hussain was suspended, while Project Director Zahid Abbas and Deputy Director Shabbir Ahmed were also suspended.<\/p>\n
Before the woman’s body was found, rescue sources said that it was technically impossible for a human to drown in the sewer hole where two people were claimed to have fallen. According to rescue officials, the identified location is the Parand Market area near Data Darbar, where excavations were carried out by the administration and it was dark in the area at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n
According to Rescue 1122, special teams and divers reached the scene within a few minutes. On the other hand, the Lahore administration said that no evidence of an accident was initially found in the inspection of the sewer line.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the father of the missing woman had given a statement to the police that his daughter had been murdered, after which the police took three people, including the woman’s husband, into custody, but they were later released due to lack of evidence.<\/p>\n
