Karachi (HRNW) \u2013 \u201cWhen Abraham Linkoln had initiated a campaign for getting rights for blacks in USA and he was fighting to set them free from the shackles of slavery, at the same time Sir Syed Ahmed Khan had started Aligarh Movement in the subcontinent to equip Muslims with modern education. This movement not only convinced Muslims to get scientific education but also created political awareness among the people of foreign countries.\u201d This was said by Dr. Shaheer Khan in a reception held in his honour by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. The senior Aligarian Dr Shaheer lives in America where he is associated with various organizations and institutions to help and support students who are ambitious to get higher education in foreign countries.<\/div>\n
Elaborating further, he said, \u201cTime has come to catching up with global phenomena and to put education on top priority. We are guiding competent and deserving students, and supporting them to get higher education in the universities of America and Europe without any discrimination. Funds are provided directly to the institutions for education of the students.\u201d<\/div>\n
He emphasized on developing such organizations or associations to help students to get higher education in foreign countries and offered his support and guidance for this divine cause.<\/div>\n
Dr. Shaheer pointed out that a social media group has been formed and it has more than 38,000 members worldwide. Also many web sites have been developed on the internet in relation to Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Aligarh Muslim University.<\/div>\n
Additionally, he paid tribute to the late Engr. Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan for promoting Aligarh spirit. He has been instrumental to publishing Engr. Zakir Ali Khan\u2019s famous book \u201cRiwayat e Aligarh\u2019 in Hindi language.<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Chancellor SSUET, and President Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys\u2019 Association, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan said that Technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and we find ourselves in a race against time to adapt. New advancements are launched daily, and we must ensure that our curriculum and facilities keep pace with these changes. This is where the strength of our alumni network becomes even more critical, their insights, experiences, and support can guide us in navigating these challenges and ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in a dynamic environment. We do not receive government grant instead, our infrastructure and growth have been made possible through the generous support of private funding.<\/div>\n
Chairperson of Zakir Ali Khan Foundation, Ms Erum Akbar Ali Khan said that Engr. Zakir Ali Khan received the first Sir Syed Ahmed Khan International Award for literature from Aligarh Muslim university for his work promoting the Aligarh Spirit and contributions to education and literature. This prestigious recognition is not only a testament to his literary contributions but also a source of pride for all of us. Zakir Ali Khan is the first author whose work has been translated into Hindi, bridging cultural and linguistic divides and showcasing the richness of our heritage.<\/div>\n

(r) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Dr. Nasim, Mr. Fazal Noor, Dr. Abdul Moid Khan, Dr. Kashif Shaikh, Mohsin Kazim, Engr. Adil Usman, Mr. Mukhtar Naqvi, Mr. Masood Alam, Mr. Sarfraz Natha, Ms. Noshaba Siddiqui and others.<\/div>\n
