Sihala, Pakistan (HRNW)-\u00a0<\/strong>Under the special directives of the Inspector General of Islamabad Police<\/strong>, the Sihala Police<\/strong> organized an extensive anti-narcotics awareness session<\/strong> at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST)<\/strong> as part of its ongoing campaign against drug abuse. The session, led by SHO Zulfiqar Ali of Police Station Koral<\/strong>, aimed to educate young students about the growing trend of drug use, its devastating effects, and the legal consequences associated with narcotics involvement.<\/p>\n

Addressing the students, SHO Zulfiqar Ali<\/strong> described drugs as a \u201csilent poison\u201d<\/em> that destroys the physical and mental health of youth, leading to academic decline, family distress, and social disintegration. He emphasized that drug abuse deprives young people of their future, career, and life opportunities.<\/p>\n

He further stated that Islamabad Police<\/strong> continues to hold awareness programs in educational institutions to protect students from falling into the trap of drug addiction and to spread timely awareness. The SHO urged students not only to stay away from drugs themselves but also to play an active role in discouraging such activities within their communities and to promptly report any suspicious behavior to the police.<\/p>\n

During the session, students were briefed on different types of narcotics<\/strong>, their physical, psychological, and social harms<\/strong>, as well as the laws and penalties<\/strong> associated with drug use and trafficking. They were reminded that individuals involved in narcotics activities not only face legal action but also suffer severe social stigma.<\/p>\n

Students appreciated the efforts of Islamabad Police<\/strong>, noting that such awareness programs play a crucial role in guiding youth toward a positive and productive path. They expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue in educational institutions to help build a healthier and safer society<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
