Lahore (HRNW)- The Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) has issued an alert regarding three medicines and banned their sale and use.<\/p>\n
According to the details, major operations are underway across the country against the business of fake medicines. The Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) has issued rapid alerts for three batches of fake medicines and has banned their sale and use.<\/p>\n
The DRAP said that the Central Drug Lab Karachi and DTL Punjab have declared several medicines fake, including Taksin Dard Goli (Batch 091) and Pain Nal Goli (Batch 01).<\/p>\n
The alert said that Love Healthcare Lab and Hakim Parana Dawakhana Karachi manufactured and supplied these medicines illegally, and they did not have any pharmaceutical license.<\/p>\n
Similarly, batch 251986 of Duphalac syrup, a well-known brand for stomach diseases, has also been declared fake. The label of the fake Duphalac syrup bears the address of multinational Abbott Pharma Canada, however, the manufacturer of Duphalac syrup, Noon Pharma, has disclaimed any connection with the affected batch.<\/p>\n
According to DRAP, the use of fake medicines can be fatal, while there is also a risk of affecting the results of treatment.<\/p>\n
DRAP has directed its regulatory force to identify suppliers of fake medicines in the market and seize the affected batches.<\/p>\n
Along with this, distributors and medical stores have also been directed to inform immediately so that safe medicines can be provided to the public.<\/p>\n
