London (HRNW)<\/a>– Another lifetime ban has been imposed on a female teacher in the United Kingdom after she was convicted of serious charges involving sexual abuse of underage students.<\/p>\n

According to an international news agency, the court was informed that the 31-year-old teacher developed contact with underage students through social media, gained their trust, and then engaged in sexual activity with them.<\/p>\n

After the matter came to light, the teacher was suspended. However, despite the suspension, she continued to have sexual relations with another student and later gave birth to a child. The court subsequently placed the child into protective care and transferred the infant to a children\u2019s nursery.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the Teaching Regulation Agency conducted a virtual hearing into the case, which the accused did not attend. Following the hearing, the panel recommended that Rebecca Joynes be permanently barred from the teaching profession.<\/p>\n

The Teaching Regulation Agency unanimously ruled that Rebecca Joynes would no longer be eligible to teach in any school, sixth-form college, youth residence, or children\u2019s home in England. She will also be permanently barred from applying for reinstatement in the future.<\/p>\n

In its decision, the panel stated that the accused\u2019s conduct was a serious breach of public trust and had a deep and lasting impact on the affected children. The panel further noted that she showed little understanding of the gravity of her crimes.<\/p>\n

The decision emphasized that teachers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards and that failure to take firm action in such cases could severely damage the reputation of the teaching profession.<\/p>\n

It is worth recalling that Rebecca Joynes was sentenced to six and a half years in prison in July last year after being found guilty on six counts of sexual activity with children. She has now been permanently banned from holding any teaching position.<\/p>\n
