Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh government is working day and night to make Karachi the most modern and developed city not only in Sindh but also in Pakistan. This was said by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.<\/p>\n
The Information Minister said that work is underway on the city\u2019s infrastructure, education, health and other important sectors to make Karachi a modern, sustainable and inclusive city.<\/p>\n
He said that a total of Rs 194 billion has been invested to improve the road and traffic infrastructure, which includes the Bhutto Highway Corridor, Malir River Bridge, underpasses and flyovers. These projects will reduce traffic pressure and increase the speed of movement in the city.<\/p>\n
Sharjeel Inam Memon further said that work on important projects in Karachi will start by March and quality and timeliness will be ensured at all costs.<\/p>\n
He said that Rs300 billion has been allocated for the expansion of 9 district headquarters hospitals and the establishment of new medical colleges in Karachi and other major cities, while Rs155.34 billion has been dedicated for the Bus Rapid Transit projects Red, Yellow and Orange Line.<\/p>\n
The Information Minister said that every project and every rupee is dedicated to bringing improvement, facilities and prosperity to the lives of the residents of Karachi. The strategy includes sustainable infrastructure, quality education, excellent health facilities, modern mass transit, clean water and safe housing.<\/p>\n
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Sindh government wants the citizens of Karachi to feel the transformation of development in every sector and the city to be equipped with modern facilities.<\/p>\n
