According to UNICEF<\/strong>, approximately 1.6 million people<\/strong> are facing extreme hardship, including over 100,000 children<\/strong> suffering from malnutrition. Experts also warn that inadequate protection from cold weather could result in further fatalities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While a recent UN report indicates that no part of Gaza is officially classified as famine-stricken<\/strong> following the October ceasefire, agencies caution that the situation remains extremely fragile<\/strong>. Without immediate and large-scale aid, food insecurity could rapidly worsen.<\/p>\n

UN agencies, including FAO, UNICEF, WFP, and WHO<\/strong>, highlighted that 77% of Gaza\u2019s population<\/strong> continues to experience severe food insecurity. This includes more than 100,000 children<\/strong> and 37,000 pregnant or breastfeeding women<\/strong>, who face a high risk of malnutrition by April if assistance does not increase.<\/p>\n

Northern Gaza, Gaza Governorate, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Yunis have been classified at emergency level (IPC Phase 4)<\/strong>, while Gaza Governorate has been downgraded slightly below famine level. Despite improvements in food, animal feed, and basic supply deliveries after the ceasefire, most families still face acute shortages<\/strong>.
