At least two people were killed<\/strong> and eight others sustained severe injuries<\/strong>, several of whom remain in critical condition<\/strong>, officials confirmed.<\/p>\n

The shooting reportedly occurred inside the university\u2019s seven-story Engineering and Physics complex (Barus & Holley Building)<\/strong> while students were taking their final exams. Panic spread rapidly as gunfire echoed through the building.<\/p>\n

One student told local media that he hid under a desk for nearly two hours<\/strong>, paralyzed by fear, until law enforcement cleared the premises.<\/p>\n

Police described the suspect as a male wearing black clothing<\/strong>, who fled the scene on foot shortly after the attack. No weapon has yet been recovered, and a large-scale manhunt<\/strong> is currently underway.<\/p>\n

All injured victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital<\/strong>, where medical officials stated that six victims remain in critical but stable condition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, reacting to the incident, was quoted as saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victims are in extremely critical condition. At this moment, there is nothing we can do except pray.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
