Islamabad (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad has arrested Wasal Izad, CEO\/owner of IEIS Consultants<\/strong>, in an alleged UK student visa fraud case and recovered Rs1.6 million<\/strong> allegedly received from the complainant.<\/p>\n

According to the FIA, the arrest was made in Bahria Town Phase 7, Islamabad, following the registration of FIR No. FIR-AHTC-ICT-753\/26<\/strong>. The agency said the entire amount of Rs1.6 million allegedly received from the complainant was recovered during the operation.<\/p>\n

The FIA said its investigation found that Wasal Izad, along with his alleged associates Salman, Zulqarnain and Sadia, handled the UK student visa case of the complainant Muhammad Zahid\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, \u00a34,000<\/strong> was deposited through an online payment link of Teesside University, UK<\/strong>, in May 2025 on the instructions of the accused. However, the FIA alleged that the suspects failed to submit the visa application and required documents within the stipulated deadline, resulting in the woman being unable to travel to the UK and the \u00a34,000 payment being lost.<\/p>\n

The agency further alleged that when the complainant repeatedly sought a refund, he was threatened, while the suspects allegedly failed to appear despite being summoned.<\/p>\n

The case has been registered under Sections 18 and 22 of the Emigration Ordinance 1979<\/strong>, read with Sections 420, 506 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The FIA said the roles of the other named individuals \u2014 Salman, Zulqarnain and Sadia \u2014 will be determined during the investigation.<\/p>\n

The investigation is being conducted by Inspector Muhammad Abdullah Kiyani, SHO AHTC Islamabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The FIA Islamabad Zone said it remains committed to bringing individuals allegedly involved in visa fraud and illegal immigration before the law, adding that providing justice to victims remains a priority.<\/p>\n
