{"id":29380,"date":"2026-09-26T14:53:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T14:53:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hrnww.com\/?p=29380"},"modified":"2026-09-26T14:53:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T14:53:15","slug":"naqeebullah-murder-case-seven-accused-acquitted-for-lack-of-evidence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hrnww.com\/?p=29380","title":{"rendered":"Naqeebullah Murder Case: Seven Accused Acquitted for Lack of Evidence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi has acquitted <strong>seven accused in the Naqeebullah murder case<\/strong> on the grounds of insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, the court acquitted <strong>Shoib Shooter, Amanullah Marwat, Gada Hussain, Sadaqat Hussain, Riaz Ahmed, Raja Shamim and Mohsin Abbas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the defence counsel, not a single witness testified against the arrested police personnel that the police encounter was staged or fake.<\/p>\n<p>The state prosecutor told the court that <strong>18 police officers and personnel, including former SSP Malir Rao Anwar, had already been acquitted<\/strong>. The prosecutor further stated that seven police officers and personnel, including former SHO Amanullah Marwat, had previously been absconding. The seven surrendered before the court following the ATC\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>Naqeebullah Mehsud was killed in <strong>January 2018 in what was described as an alleged police encounter<\/strong>.
